The main goal of the World Club is to bring awareness to the importance of the world's cultures, global problems and specifically of the unique cultural diversity of the Hartford Campus of UConn.
This is accomplished in a myriad ways: annual events, club meetings, field trips, tutoring programs, attendance and participation in the local and regional conferences, encouraging travel as the best way to learn about our world and ourselves, sharing our personal experiences and inviting guest speakers to share theirs.
Our biggest events are the World Fiesta Day and Trip to New York City. The World Feasta Day is the traditional spring semester activity that brought Greater Hartford Campus community (students, staff and faculty) together. The World Feasta Day is helping someone to find a new friend or get together with old friends as not so traditional an environment as you can imagine: tasting the traditional food from local international restaurants, exhibitions of international artifacts, student's presentations, guest speakers, games, music and dance.
